A report on Friday claimed that the group were considering reuniting for the Coachella music festival.
Some £2.8 million has reportedly been offered to the band, despite repeated denials from lead singer Morrissey that he would ever perform with Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce again.
Now, a spokesperson for Marr has dismissed the speculation, telling Uncut the reports are "rubbish".
The Smiths broke up in 1987 when Marr announced that he was leaving the group.
