Speaking at the launch of the Hard Rock Cafe's Imagine There's No Hunger campaign, Stone said: "It's all about love people. Love can save the world along with music. Music is a big part of our lives... it can help get the word out."
Stone has donated new track 'Love Has Made You Beautiful' to the SERVE3 CD, which also features Bruce Springsteen, The Charlatans and Avril Lavigne.
"I wrote [the song] about my friend Bonnie," said the singer. "It just really fits this moment in time. People focus too much on the visual rather than actually themselves.
"You have to be a good person first and foremost. That's what makes people attractive and lovely to be around. If you're a good person, the light will shine from within you. As cheesy as that may sound, it's the truth.
"Life's not about your image, the makeup or the clothes you put on - It's about who you are. If you do something good, you are a beautiful person The makeup and the fashion shoots are just bulls**t."
The record, to be released on November 4, will raise funds for nonprofit organisation WHY, which tackles poverty and hunger around the world.
