The View apologise for drunken gig

The View frontman Kyle Falconer has apologised for his drunken performance at a gig in Nottingham.

Falconer struggled to stand up during the show at the Bodega Social venue, which drew criticism from the Scottish band's fans.

After performing the tracks '5 Rebeccas' and 'Skag Trendy', the singer rowed with bandmate Kieren Webster, according to the Daily Record. Stuart Purvey from support group The Law replaced Falconer for the majority of the concert.

"Kyle was seeing more than '5 Rebeccas'," said a fan. "Pretty sad gig, Kyle was a shambles."

Falconer said in a statement: "I'm really sorry to have let all our fans down. There's no excuses, I'm just really sorry I got so drunk and couldn't do the gig.

"We all love playing live, so I feel terrible I let the fans and the band down and couldn't put on our usual show. We'll be back in Nottingham in January. Tickets from the October show will be valid and I promise to keep out of the pub when we play."
