Cher has insisted that she is not planning to end her music career in the near future.
The 62-year-old's comments come after she denied rumours this week that she has been diagnosed with cancer.
"I'll do my work as long as I can do it, as long as people show up," she said. "What would I do? I'm not comparing myself to this but [it's like] if someone said: 'Oh, Picasso, you've painted so many pictures, get some frames and go home'."
Cher will return to the stage in February at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
