Mayor declares official 'AC/DC Day'

The mayor of Vancouver has announced that November 28 will be known as 'AC/DC Day'.

The rockers are due to play in the city on that date, having recorded their new LP Black Ice in Vancouver.

AC/DC will be honoured with a special proclamation when they arrive in the Canadian city for the show, reports The Province.

Mayor Sam Sullivan said that the occasion would bring attention to the city's creative industry. "People come from all over the world to make their recordings, to make movies. The city is a hotbed of real great talent and we should celebrate that."
