Glasvegas top NME Awards Tour bill

They will be joined on the 17-date jaunt by rock-dance outfit Friendly Fires, London trio White Lies and solo songstress Florence And The Machine.
Glasvegas frontman James Allan commented: "We'll bring champagne instead of Buckfast. Imagine Motley Crue on an NME Awards Tour."
NME Editor Conor McNicholas added: "This is a cracking lineup of deeply talented artists who produce music of real quality. All four acts boast the strongest and most distinctive new songwriters in Britain at the moment."
The tour will kick off in Liverpool on January 29 and ends on February 21 at Brixton Academy. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am.
Previous tours have featured performances from Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Muse and Arctic Monkeys.
The NME Awards 2009 take place at Brixton Academy on February 25.
