The group, who scored number ones with 'Push The Button' and 'About You Now', said they feel much more comfortable performing with a live band rather than just a backing track.
"One thing we never want to do is repeat ourselves. We just wanted to get rid of the whole electropop thing and go back to having a real band," singer Keisha Buchanan told BANG Showbiz.
"I've been in the band since I was 12 and that was the first thing we did, they popped us in the studio with a live band so we had to get into shape. We hate doing songs with backing tracks. It feels so empty without our live musicians."
The band ditched their previous sound in the hope of showing their "maturity" on latest album Catfights And Spotlights.
