Aretha Franklin named rock era great

The 66-year-old, who is known as the Queen Of Soul, reportedly beat Ray Charles to the top spot, with Elvis Presley coming third in the survey of 179 rock greats.
The top 100 list will be published on Friday when the magazine's December issue goes on sale.
Sam Cooke was fourth in the poll, followed by John Lennon and Marvin Gaye. Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder and James Brown rounded out the top ten.
