The Enemy will launch the 2009 NME Awards with a gig at a pub in Brixton.

Tom Clarke's band have confirmed a gig at The Prince on November 26, which will mark the opening of voting for this year's awards.

Entrance for the show is invite only.

The Coventry rock act are currently working on the follow-up to 2007's We Live And Die In These Towns LP. The group recently claimed their new material would have a more "punky" vibe.

The NME Awards take place at the Brixton Academy on February 25.
