The Barbadian singer was scheduled to perform in the capital Jakarta today, but decided to cancel the concert over fears for her safety.
The sell-out show would have seen her perform to crowds of 6,000 in the South-East Asian country. However, she changed her mind when travel advisory warnings were issued after the executions of three Islamic militants convicted in the 2002 Bali bombings.
The convicted men had called on followers to carry out revenge attacks before being subjected to a firing squad.
Dive Purnomo, a spokesman for the concert promoter, said she hopes the singer will come back to Jakarta in January instead.
Rihanna recently collapsed on stage while performing her hit single 'Umbrella'.
