Writing on the Coldplay website, Martin revealed that the group burst into an impromptu rendition of Take That's signature song 'Back For Good' in their dressing room during their world tour.
He explained: "We sang the whole thing, word for word, with all the right chords on our piano, without having to learn it or anything. It was great."
Martin joked that his band would even be willing to support Take That on tour.
"I'd like to use this forum, the Coldplay website, to announce that if Take That want us to open for them, we'll do it," he said.
