The Scottish singer claimed that there has been a record-breaking demand for tickets to her gigs at Basel's Avo Session festival, which runs throughout November each year.
"The promoter told me he has been organising this for 20 years and everyone has played here. But he said he has never witnessed such demand for tickets as he had for me," MacDonald told the Daily Record.
"We sold the first night out in three minutes and the second one out in four minutes. He also told me that when he had Elton John here, he sold out in one day. I will never get used to hearing things like that. In fact, I don't think I'll ever properly believe it."
MacDonald recently cancelled a number of concert dates because she was not well enough to perform. She said: "I had some time at home recently, because I was suffering from a few nasty illnesses."
