The owner of Liverpool's famous Cavern Club has removed Gary Glitter's name from a brick on the wall.
Hundreds of bricks with the names of acts who have played the club make up the building's interior, but Bill Heckle has only ever scrubbed out two. One belonged to Jonathan King, and the other to Glitter.
"I used to be a history teacher and this is like Stalinism, revisionism," said Heckle, who has erected a plaque in the brick's place explaining its removal.
Gary Glitter was jailed for three years in Vietnam for sex offences against young girls.
He returned to the UK in August.
