The nu-rave act's 2007 debut LP won the Mercury Music Prize and NME Album Of The Year gong.
Speaking about their second record, guitarist Jamie Reynolds told NME: "Half of it sounds like you're holding on for dear life - intense and nervous - and the other half sounds like when you don't care and you float off."
The tracks 'Moonhead' and 'Valley Of The Calm Trees' will feature on the disc, which is being produced by The Last Shadow Puppets collaborator James Ford.
Reynolds added: "With any joy we'll finish [the album] before Christmas then play every festival possible and go around the world twice!"
