Tabloid reports said that the band had agreed a "top secret" deal with the Scottish music event in July.
Responding to the rumours, Ellis said in a statement: "I can confirm that AC/DC will not be playing at T In The Park 2009.
"We do not want AC/DC fans to buy a ticket for T In The Park under false pretences as this would not only disappoint them, but also the many people desperate to get their hands on a T In The Park ticket regardless of the headliner."
AC/DC will play their first UK tour in eight years next April with shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
