Jo Whiley: 'I trashed our Winnebago'

Jo Whiley has revealed that she trashed a Winnebago hired by the BBC at last year's Glastonbury festival.

The Radio 1 DJ told The Mirror that staff at the broadcaster are no longer able to use the luxury accommodation at music events.

Whiley said: "They have cut back on what we have backstage. It's partly to do with the credit crunch but it was kind of my fault as well.

"I completely trashed my Winnebago at Glastonbury and now they have banned us from having them."

She added: "Lily Allen, the Arctic Monkeys, everyone came back. But it was completely destroyed by the end of the weekend, I left it in a total mess.

"We're in a little caravan now. Oops! An army of cleaners had to be brought in to clear up all the revellers' mess. But there'll be no repeat this time."
