The reversed decision comes after record label Sony initially only included the Snow Patrol cover on the deluxe re-release of her album Spirit.
Fans had expected the single to be released after Lewis performed the track on The X Factor earlier this month, with Dermot O'Leary introducing it as "her new single".
"The decision not to release the track caused a huge amount of negative feedback. Chiefs were stunned by the reaction. They’ve finally seen sense and bowed to pressure," a source told The Sun.
The song topped the Irish charts after it was made available on the Irish iTunes.
'Run' will be available to download from November 30. The deluxe re-release of Spirit is available now.
