'December Song (I Dream of Christmas)' will be available for download for free from the singer's official website and other online music outlets.
The popstar first revealed plans to release a Christmas single during a concert at London's Earls Court in August.
It is his first Christmas song since the 1984 Wham! hit 'Last Christmas', which was recently named the most played festive track of the last five years.
'December Song (I Dream of Christmas)', written by Michael with longtime collaborator David Austin, will receive its first radio play on December 1.
