Nickelback 'gave up control on new album'

Nickelback have revealed that they looked for outside help on new album Dark Horse.

The band drafted in Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, who previously worked on AC/DC's Back In Black, marking their first collaborative effort since Silver Side Up in 2001.

"He was actually somebody we were interested in working with for a long time," said guitarist Ryan Peake.

"We had to think a lot about relinquishing a bit of that control to someone else, but we just said: 'Yeah, let's give it a shot.'"

Dark Horse and new single 'Gotta Be Somebody' are out now.
