Art Brut team up with Frank Black

Pixies legend Frank Black will produce the next Art Brut album, the band's lead singer has confirmed.

Eddie Argos revealed on his blog that Black will join the group in the studio to produce the follow-up to last year's It's A Bit Complicated.

"I was thinking about trying to put anybody off that asked me outright if the Pixies legend Frank Black was producing our next album by telling them that they must have misheard and in fact the legendary Pixie Geldof was," he wrote.

"I'm glad I didn't have to stoop that low to hide our secret."

Argos added that the band have around 20 songs ready to record, including the track 'Art Brut Versus Satan'.
