The singer has revealed that he may put his music career on hold in order to try to get more stage and screen roles.
"I am very much still completely into the acting," he told Metro.
"It's not a whimsical thing for me. I have done two jobs that have been received well and I am very lucky I am halfway in that cross from music to acting and I think it's a very difficult thing to do. I am still having auditions. I just read a script the other day. It's all about getting the right job.
"I think I am three years into an acting career with two high-profile jobs, it's still about learning the ropes in that industry. The last two [acting jobs] I have done, I am really pleased and hopefully, next year, I am going to have some more."
Young starred alongside Dame Judi Dench in 2006's Mrs. Henderson Presents and took to the stage last year in The Vortex by Noel Coward.
His latest single 'Grace' was released on Monday.
