Coldplay to get Girls Aloud support?

Coldplay are close to bringing Girls Aloud on board as their main support act at Wembley Stadium next year, reports The Sun.

Frontman Chris Martin is said to be a huge fan of the group and industry insiders believe a deal could be signed this week.

A source said: "Girls Aloud are the ideal support group. They will get the Wembley crowd worked up into a frenzy before the main attraction."

Last month, Martin's band announced that they will perform three stadium gigs next September, taking in Manchester Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Glasgow Hampden Park and London Wembley Stadium. More dates are expected to be announced this Friday.
