Shakira to perform at Obama inauguration

The Latin singer will celebrate by singing live at the event held in Washington on January 20, 2009, according to El Comercio.
The star was a vocal supporter of Obama during his campaign, which saw him elected as the first black US president in history.
"Obama can restore peace and the world's confidence in the United States," she said during the campaign.
Obama previously voiced his admiration for the 'Hips Don't Lie' singer and her charity work in aid of Latin American children, the publication report.
Susan Sarandon, Spike Lee and Anne Hathaway are all expected to attend the ceremony on January 20.
