The bands went head-to-head in 1995 when Oasis released single 'Roll With It' on the same day as Blur's 'Country House'. Blur prevailed, but Gallagher now thinks the battle was silly.
"Looking back now, that fight's all so pathetic over two really quite s**t pop songs," the songwriter told The Guardian.
Gallagher also revealed that he now sees former Blur frontman Damon Albarn as a "great artist", although he did point out ways in which they differ.
"He's different from me. I'm not an artist. For me, it just comes out. He does Chinese operas and that kind of thing. He's got more strings to his bow than I'll ever have," he said.
