The group's frontman, whose band are embarking on a 'revisiting' tour this month, criticised both Blur and Oasis.
"Oasis have never been my thing," he told The Sun. "I quite like Liam Gallagher but I'm just not into their stuff."
The singer also claimed that he is unconcerned by the news that Blur have reformed.
"Damon is arrogant and leaves me cold. It's all such a show with him," he said. "His music is OK but I've never been a fan of his."
The Bluetones knocked Oasis off the top spot in 1996 when they scored a number one with their debut album Expecting To Fly.
