Goldie Lookin' Chain set UK tour dates

Goldie Lookin' Chain have announced a UK tour in 2009.

The rap-pop band have lined up 23 venues for their tour, which includes a 'pay-what-you-like' gig at London's Metro.

The jaunt will promote their new album By Any Means Necessary, which is preceded by the release of free download single 'New Day' on January 1.

The group's tour will include the following venues:

  • March 9 - Sheffield, Corporation

  • March 10 - Manchester, Moho Live

  • March 11 - Derby, Rockhouse

  • March 12 - York, Fibbers

  • March 13 - Glasgow, King Tuts

  • March 14 - Dundee, Doghouse

  • March 15 - Nottingham, Rescue Rooms

  • March 16 - Liverppol, Barfly

  • March 17 - Birmingham, Academy 2

  • March 18 - Colchester, Arts Centre

  • March 19 - Oxford, Academy

  • March 20 - Exeter, Cavern

  • March 21 - Harlow, Square

  • March 22 - Cardiff, Point

  • March 23 - Brighton, Concorde

  • March 24 - London, Dingwalls

  • March 25 - Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms

  • March 26 - Bristol, Fleece

  • March 27 - Aberystwyth, University

  • March 28 - Rhonda, Parc Hall

  • March 30 - Port Talbot, B52s

The band rose to fame with their 2004 single 'Guns Don't Kill People Rappers Do', which reached number three in the charts.
