MGMT top NME album of the year poll

The psychedelic pop group's debut disc came out top in a list compiled by the music magazine's writing staff.
Also in the top ten were TV On The Radio's Dear Science, Kings Of Leon's fourth disc Only By The Night and Foals' debut Antidotes.
Previous winners of the NME writers' poll include Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Joy Division, Public Enemy, Happy Mondays, Oasis, The Strokes, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys.
Klaxons won last year's award for their debut Myths Of The Near Future.
