The Primal Scream star claimed he was hopeful that his former bandmates could resolve their differences next year.
Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni were one of the most successful and influential guitar bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s. They split in 1996 following the release of their sophomore album Second Coming.
"Me, John and Reni are up for doing it and Ian just needs some working on," Mani told The Sun.
"Next year is the 20th anniversary of the first album. It's the ideal time to do it. It's something I would love to do before we are all fat and bald. Start the campaign."
In 2000 NME ranked the band's self-titled debut album as the Greatest Album Ever.
