Martin: 'Coldplay ripped off Jeff Buckley'

The singer described the song, which featured on the band's debut album Parachutes, as a "blatant attempt" to recreate the musician's sound.
"It's a blatant Jeff Buckley attempt," he told the BBC's Chris Moyles Show. "Not quite as good, that's what I think. We were 21 and he was very much a hero, and as with those things it tends to filter through."
Last week it was reported that a campaign has been launched to push Jeff Buckley's version of 'Hallelujah' to the top of the Christmas chart.
