T.I. to perform ahead of prison sentence

Rapper T.I. has been lined up to perform a live show this New Year's Eve ahead of starting his prison sentence.

The star, real name Clifford Harris Jr, is scheduled to play at a private party in Miami, Florida on December 31.

The event is being hosted by actress Chloe Sevigny at the Gransevoort Hotel on South Beach.

The 'Live Your Life' singer will begin a year-long prison sentence in March after being charged with illegally possessing three machine guns.

T.I. currently occupies two places in the US Top Five with singles 'Whatever You Like' and his duet with Rihanna 'Live Your Life'.
