The singer said she wants to collaborate with Chris Martin on new material after declaring that her second album will have a "rocky edge".
"Leona would love to work with Coldplay and knows Chris Martin likes her voice," a source told The Sun.
"She would love to sing a duet with him. If not, maybe he could write a song for her. Chris is open to all kinds of music and isn’t at all snobby about what some see as cheesy pop."
Lewis's second album is expected to be released in late 2009.
