Kanye: 'Spiritual chanting helps my voice'

Kanye West has reportedly taken up a daily chanting ritual.

The rapper has started doing a special spiritual chant to help improve his singing voice, according to The Sun.

"Kanye has started this strange new ritual of chanting these spiritual songs," said a source. "He thinks it rids his space of ghosts and spirits.

"He reckons his singing will improve if he gets rid of the demons."

West's latest album release 808s and Heartbreaks saw the star use pitch-correcting Auto-Tune effects rather than his traditional rapping syle.

He recently claimed that he will be remembered as the "voice of a generation".
