Plant named 'greatest voice in rock'

The Led Zeppelin frontman finished first in a poll conducted by digital radio station Planet Rock to honour the greatest voices in the history of rock n' roll.
Freddie Mercury of Queen and Paul Rodgers of Free came in second and third place respectively.
"It’s great to see Britain has produced the top three greatest rock vocalists of all time," said the station's programming director Trevor White.
The rankings were compiled by Planet Rock DJs, presenters and listeners, as well as musicians, rock critics and experts.
The only female to make the the list was Janis Joplin, who was ranked 21st.
The top ten greatest voices in rock are as follows:
1. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
2. Freddie Mercury (Queen)
3. Paul Rodgers (Free/Bad Company)
4. Ian Gillan (Deep Purple)
5. Roger Daltrey (The Who)
6. David Coverdale (Whitesnake)
7. Axl Rose (Guns 'N' Roses)
8. Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)
9. Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones)
10. Bon Scott (AC/DC)
