Guitarist denies Guns tour rumours

Fortus, who has played with the band since 2002, was previously quoted as saying that the group are planning a 24-month jaunt. However, he has insisted that his comments were taken out of context.
"I never said that Guns N’ Roses would be playing St. Louis, nor did I say that we will be doing free shows or that we are starting a two-year tour in March," he told Blabbermouth.
"Selective hearing. Never said it."
Frontman Axl Rose has so far not undertaken any promotion for his group's long-awaited Chinese Democracy LP.
However, in a webchat with fans the singer said that he wants to "focus" on the current record rather than discuss plans for a follow-up, sparking rumours that the band may tour in 2009.
