The Radio 1 DJ will unveil the nominees at an event on January 20 at the Roundhouse in Camden, North London.
Last month it was revealed that Florence And The Machine had been named the Brit Awards 2009 Critics' Choice. The indie singer, real name Florence Welch, will perform at the Brit Nominations Launch alongside Gabriella Cilmi and Scouting For Girls.
The Pet Shop Boys have already been announced as the recipients of the Outstanding Contribution To Music Prize.
The 2009 Brit Awards will take place at Earl's Court on February 18.
