The popstar, who is currently performing on the Dancing With The Stars live shows, admitted that the length of the boyband's hiatus was unexpected. The group have not worked together since 2002's 'Celebrity' tour.
"We didn't know where our different careers would take us, and we especially didn't know that Justin Timberlake's career was gonna take off like that," he told Billboard.
"There's no way we'd ever stand in his way. We talk all the time and are always involved in each other's careers."
On the prospect of reforming, he commented: "You never know what the other guys are going to be able to do or what they're thinking, but I hope in the next few years we would definitely be able to do another tour and another album."
He continued: "Every album we did, the music definitely was changing, but I have no clue what it would sound like.
"It would have a little more of a hip-hop vibe, I would say. I think we would definitely work with a lot more urban producers, which I think would be a lot of fun."
