According to the Daily Star, bosses at the soft drinks giant are looking to hire UK acts for a forthcoming global advertising campaign. Jack White has previously collaborated with the company on new music.
"Like any industry, the music one is facing a difficult time and advertising is a lucrative way for bands to make a tidy bit of cash and get their songs out to a wider audience all in one fell swoop," said a source.
"You'd have thought a band like Goldfrapp, who are considered to be quite cool, would shun such an offer but they saw Jack White do it and realised it would be silly to immediately dismiss the offer.
"Similarly, The Hoosiers have their own reservations about not being viewed as sell-outs. But it's hugely flattering for both groups to have such a big brand interested in investing in them."
