The Oasis rocker revealed that he thinks he will have his own project in the shops before his band finishes the follow-up to last year's Dig Out Your Soul.
"I've got a lot of songs in the vault that are doing nothing. I could probably cobble together an album. I can't put a timescale on it, but it would be great to get them out. I'll get it out sooner or later," he told Josh T. Landow on US radio station WXPN.
Gallagher added that the new Oasis album is a good indication of where the band are at now, claiming that he wrote the record's songs in the studio rather than "cherry picking" them from his archives.
The singer also said that he is happy with how the group is received by the public, saying: "People either love us or hate us, which is a cool place to be."
