The rapper claimed that the record's overall feel could be compared to Snoop Dogg's 1993 offering Doggystyle.
"The vibe is, no matter how it turns out I want it to be fun. It's gotta have pace and positivity. Having it for the recession session," he told NME.
"It's party music. I wanna do my version of Doggystyle. That's the closest reference point I can give you. Since 'Dance Wiv Me', we're thinking a bit broader."
Rascal, who previously guest featured on Armand Van Helden's album, said that the pair had not worked together on his latest project.
"He approached me. [but] I'm only into some dance music," he told the publication. "Some of it is s**t. If it's banging, I can identify."
