The Kiwi comedy duo, who star in their own eponymous HBO show, will release a new track on iTunes after each new episode airs, reports Billboard.
Fans can also pre-order the new LP from Sub Pop and receive a new song each week. The currently untitled record will feature ten tracks from the show and five unheard tunes.
The band's first EP 'The Distant Future' won a Grammy for Best Comedy Album, while 2008's self-titled full-length debut record is nominated for a Grammy in the same category.
Speaking about the LP, Sub Pop's Tony Kiewel commented: "More than one of [the songs] leans on a '70s soul sound. I've also heard this choiry sort of thing, a Meat Loafy sort of thing and a crazy top 40-type jam."
Comics Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie are expected to tour the album across America in April and May.
The second season of the show begins on January 18.
