The Irish band claimed that their technologically-advanced stage set will leave fans stunned when they tour later this year.
"It's fair to say what we've planned for our outdoor shows has never been done before and that we've been working on it for a long time," frontman Bono told the Daily Star. "It's a feat of engineering genius."
The band will showcase their upcoming album No Line On The Horizon during the tour, the dates of which are yet to be confirmed.
U2 will perform their new single 'Get On Your Boots' at this year's Brit Awards on February 18.
