Bassist Russell Leetch claimed that the group had already demoed ten songs for the record and have another ten ready to rehearse.
"We're all buzzing about the songs that we've put together," he said. "You may have heard that the record is more electronic and this is true.
"We've been putting the songs together with different sounds from old and new synths and not just relying on guitars, combining both. We've been listening to Georgio Moroder, The Idiot by Iggy Pop, Brad Fiedel, Depeche Mode, Remain In Light by Talking Heads and Burial to name a few."
He added: "The record feels like that hour in the night when the foxes are abundant and the lights are low, driving past the frozen disused warehouses."
Editor's last album An End Has A Start reached number one on its release in July 2007.
