A survey commissioned by the Children's Society saw the Life Of Brian theme beat competition from The Jam's 'Going Underground' and The Animals's 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place'.
A fifth of respondents said that they would like Eric Idle's version of 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life' to be played at their funeral while 16% went for 'Cabaret', sung by Liza Minnelli.
Other choices included Sid Vicious's cover of 'My Way' and 'Enjoy Yourself, It's Later Than You Think' by the Specials.
The survey also found that nine out of 10 people found talking about sex easier than talking about funeral arrangements.
