The LP was recorded with the E Street Band and features 12 new songs, including a bonus track 'The Wrestler'. The song featured on the Mickey Rourke movie of the same name and won a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song.
The veteran musician's follow-up to 2007's Magic LP was recorded with Brendan O'Brien at the producer's Atlanta studio.
Speaking ahead of the release, Springsteen said: "I hope Working On A Dream has [captured] the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we've ever done.
"All the songs were written quickly, we usually used one of our first few takes, and we all had a blast making this one from beginning to end."
