Cory Nickels, who apparently had a history of heart problems, collapsed on the concourse shortly after the gig concluded.
Nickels fell ill at 10.30pm and was treated by paramedics on site before being taken to hospital. He is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
Sgt Ray Mabbitt of Council Bluffs Police Criminal Investigation Division said that an autopsy is planned for today.
Around 30 other people were treated for injuries at the concert.
