Calvin Harris has confirmed a 10-date UK tour to promote his new single 'I'm Not Alone'.

The 'Dance Wiv Me' star's first release from his forthcoming second album was premiered on Pete Tong's Radio 1 show last week.

Commenting on early reactions to the tune, Harris said: "For those hating, please be aware that what I'm trying to do is make memorable music, and given that I have already made songs that sound like 'Acceptable In The 80s' and 'The Girls', and indeed 'Dance Wiv Me', it's time to move on and keep it interesting, which involves taking risks.

"One of those risks being that perhaps nobody will like it. But I would much rather that be the case than I make some cut up distorted blog house tune, I think there is enough of that around at the moment."

The track is currently on Harris's MySpace alongside a second new tune '5iliconeator', which the DJ describes as "the music playing from the alien creature's orb-shaped life-pods when they finally come down to earth and quietly zap us in the head with their death ray guns".

The tour dates:

  • April 25 - Thekla, Bristol

  • April 26 - BC2, Brighton

  • April 28 - Oran, Glasgow

  • May 1 - Kasbah, Coventry

  • May 2 - MA2, Manchester

  • May 3 - Custard, Birmingham

  • May 5 - Scala, London

  • May 6 - Cockpit, Leeds

  • May 7 - Quarter, Belfast

  • May 8 - Trinity, Dublin
