The producer admitted that he wants to take his time on the record for fear of being "overexposed".
"I'm not bringing my own album out for at least a year," he told The Mirror.
"I've had such a busy couple of years, I don't want to be too overexposed. But I've been producing with The Rumblestrips on some new material - it sounds awesome."
The star, who released his last album Version in 2007, added that he is hoping to produce material with girlfriend Tennessee Thomas.
"I'd love to work with my girlfriend's band The Like. I love their stuff," he said.
