Blur confirmed for Oxegen, T In The Park

Blur have joined the lineup for the 2009 T In The Park and Oxegen festivals.

The reformed Britpop band will headline the Saturday night at T, which they last played in 1999. Blur famously performed in the King Tut's tent at the first ever T In The Park in 1994.

Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Katy Perry are also confirmed for the Scottish festival. The event takes place on July 10, 11 and 12.

"It's great to have such an influential British band," said organiser Geoff Ellis. "When we heard there was a chance of them reforming, we were sniffing about because it was something we wanted to be part of."

Meanwhile, Blur have also been added to the Oxegen bill, where they join Snow Patrol, Kings Of Leon, The Script, Bloc Party and Katy Perry. Oxegen tickets go on sale on March 6.
