The psychedelic pop duo have been compared to MGMT and feature on the BBC's top music tips for 2009.
"All this attention feels great, it's like some sort of reward," band member Luke Steele told Attitude.
"We've been writing together for so long and now we know exactly what we're doing and this feels like more than just some hyped-up nine-year old band."
The Aussie group, who are named after the 1984 novel of the same name, added that they try to entertain their fans as much as possible during live shows.
"So many bands work so hard to look cool and have tried for so long to avoid being seen as entertainers, it's hilarious. When you see a Snow Patrol video you wonder if those guys are just off to do their laundry," he said.
Empire Of The Sun release new single 'Walking On A Dream' on February 16.
