The singer, who is presenting backstage at the event, claims that the group's longevity and success means that they deserve to win.
"The Brits are the biggest event we have for music in this country," she told The Star.
"I’m so happy Girls Aloud will be there and it’d be amazing if they win British band - although they are up against Take That, who also deserve it."
The 'Breathe Slow' star added that she hopes either Adele or Estelle win best British female.
"I adore the Adele album, and Duffy has sold a lot of records," she said. "But Estelle is a friend - we’ve written together - and has really inspired people by working hard."
Dixon recently admitted that she was "annoyed" that Leona Lewis had been snubbed at the event.
The Brits Backstage airs on ITV1 at 11.35pm on February 20.
